  • Participate in discharge planning, case management, and patient education to promote recovery and health coaching post-treatment.
  • Maintain sterile processing standards during procedures involving sterile fields; ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed.
  • Assist in special procedures like sonography or mammography when applicable; support laboratory testing and specimen collection for diagnostic purposes.

Requirements

  • Valid RN (Registered Nurse) license with current state licensure.
  • Proven emergency room experience demonstrating proficiency in acute care scenarios across diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, and adults.
  • Critical care experience preferred—especially within ICU or trauma center environments—along with familiarity working in high-pressure situations requiring rapid decision-making.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and emergency protocols such as basic life support (BLS) certification; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification is highly desirable.
  • Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation and patient tracking.
  • Skilled in IV insertion, venipuncture, suturing techniques, airway management including ventilator support, and infection control practices.
  • Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection/processing and imaging support like sonography or radiology when needed.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams; compassionate approach toward patients facing traumatic or critical health issues.
  • Knowledge of occupational health standards including Workers’ Compensation law is advantageous; familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9) for accurate documentation is essential.
  • Experience working with diverse populations such as children (including neonatal ventilator support), seniors requiring geriatrics or memory care services, or individuals with disabilities enhances your candidacy.
