Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Emergency Room Physician to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Perform comprehensive triage assessments to prioritize patient care based on severity and urgency
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and evaluate vital signs to determine appropriate treatment pathways
- Utilize advanced skills in airway management, trauma medicine, and acute pain management to stabilize critically ill patients
- Order, interpret, and utilize diagnostic tools such as EHR systems, medical imaging (including CT scans), and laboratory results for accurate diagnosis
- Administer medications, including IV infusions and botulinum toxin treatments, adhering to safety protocols and HIPAA regulations
- Coordinate with specialists across disciplines such as cardiology, neurology, psychiatry, and obstetrics for comprehensive patient care
- Document all patient interactions meticulously within EMR systems, ensuring compliance with hospital standards and CPT coding requirements
Qualifications
- Medical degree from an accredited institution with active licensure as an Emergency Room Physician or equivalent
- Proven experience in emergency medicine or urgent care settings, preferably within Level I or Level II trauma centers
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic or similar electronic health record platforms
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and clinical evaluation techniques
- Skilled in airway management, trauma procedures, suturing, and wound care techniques
- Experience with inpatient care, hospital medicine protocols, and post-operative care is highly desirable
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are preferred
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent patient service standards
