Emergency Room Physician- Part time

Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Emergency Room Physician to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide immediate, high-quality medical care to patients experiencing urgent and emergent health issues. Your expertise will be essential in delivering rapid assessments, accurate diagnoses, and effective treatment plans in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes while maintaining a compassionate and professional approach. Duties

  • Perform comprehensive triage assessments to prioritize patient care based on severity and urgency
  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and evaluate vital signs to determine appropriate treatment pathways
  • Utilize advanced skills in airway management, trauma medicine, and acute pain management to stabilize critically ill patients
  • Order, interpret, and utilize diagnostic tools such as EHR systems, medical imaging (including CT scans), and laboratory results for accurate diagnosis
  • Administer medications, including IV infusions and botulinum toxin treatments, adhering to safety protocols and HIPAA regulations
  • Coordinate with specialists across disciplines such as cardiology, neurology, psychiatry, and obstetrics for comprehensive patient care
  • Document all patient interactions meticulously within EMR systems, ensuring compliance with hospital standards and CPT coding requirements

Qualifications

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution with active licensure as an Emergency Room Physician or equivalent
  • Proven experience in emergency medicine or urgent care settings, preferably within Level I or Level II trauma centers
  • Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic or similar electronic health record platforms
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and clinical evaluation techniques
  • Skilled in airway management, trauma procedures, suturing, and wound care techniques
  • Experience with inpatient care, hospital medicine protocols, and post-operative care is highly desirable
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are preferred
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent patient service standards
