Your Impact at Empire

The Purchasing Agent will primarily be responsible for sourcing suppliers for the end-to-end construction production. This includes, but is not limited to identifying, recommending, and implementing process improvements that ensures timely delivery of materials, trades and services across our construction sites in accordance to schedules and budgets.

This role is on-site at our Empire Atlanta’s Head Office in Atlanta, GA.

What We Are Looking For:
  • Post-secondary bachelor’s degree in construction management, business, or related field
  • 2+ years of purchasing experience within the homebuilding industry
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Newstar and/or BuildPro

What You’ll Be Doing Each Day

  • Support the Purchasing team by preparing bid packages, reviewing proposals, and organizing bid comparisons.
  • Maintain accurate contracts, purchase orders, pricing, and vendor data in purchasing systems.
  • Assist with processing awards, vendor set-up, and tracking of agreements, rebates, and insurance requirements.
  • Review plans, specifications, and take-offs to ensure accuracy in project estimates.
  • Provide administrative and coordination support between vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Help maintain organized files and documentation for all purchasing activities.
