The Employee Benefits Account Manager is responsible for managing and servicing client employee benefit programs, ensuring client satisfaction and plan compliance. This role involves direct client interaction, benefit plan analysis, problem resolution, and coordination with producers, vendors and carriers.


Client Relationship Management

    • Manage and oversee client fully-insured, and level-funded plans.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing ongoing support.
    • Coordinate benefit plan implementations, and renewals in collaboration with producers, clients and carriers.
    • Coordinate with Customer Relations on all eligibility and claim related issues to ensure timely resolution is made.

Benefits Consultation

  • Provide expert advice on employee benefits program design, including health insurance, to ensure competitive and attractive packages.
  • Offer guidance and tools for compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Prepare and present benefit plan options, renewal proposals, and reports to clients, offering insights and recommendations based on regulatory changes, industry trends, client needs and budget.

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Prepare and deliver plan performance reports to clients illustrating the performance and cost-effectiveness of their benefits programs on a pre-renewal & renewal basis.
  • Conduct market analysis, manage the RFP process, negotiate with carriers, prepare proposals, and make recommendations.
  • Analyze benefits utilization data to identify cost-saving opportunities and program improvements.

Compliance & Documentation:

  • Ensure all client interactions, policies, and renewals comply with industry regulations and internal company policies.
  • Maintain detailed records and ensure all policy documents are up to date.
  • Adhere to the Dillingham Employee Benefits process & workflows as it relates to the proper process and procedures related to documentation saved in Brokerage Builder.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in employee benefits or insurance account management.
  • Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs, including fully-insured, level-funded plans.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report.
  • Possess a Life and Health License.
