Employee Benefits Producer

Benefit agency located on the border of Gilbert, AZ and Mesa, AZ is looking for new talent to add to our team.

We are seeking an Employee Benefit Sales Producer that utilizes relationships to conduct sales activities that are necessary to build a pipeline of prospects.

The incumbent will be expected to generate sales prospects from various sources/referrals and carry the agency’s reputation in a professional manner of conducting business into dealings with clients, agency personnel, and companies represented.

The Employee Benefit Sales Producer also serves as a risk management advisor to our clients, working closely with agency teams to provide quality, consultative services for our clients.

The candidate will be responsible for developing and retaining sales of Employee Benefits products including Group Health, Dental, Vision, Life and other group products as applicable. Targeted prospects are those employers with 50 – 250 or more employees located in the Gilbert, Mesa, Chandler and surrounding areas in Southeast Valley.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Successful candidates will utilize current knowledge of the benefits insurance industry with demonstrated success in sales and client relationships to develop, maintain and retain a book of business.

  • Responsible for sales production to meet and preferably exceed established annual production goals.
  • Develops and expands coverage to existing accounts and partners with other business lines for cross sell opportunities.
  • Promotes products or carriers that the agency has identified as important.
  • Follows up on all leads and expiration dates.
  • Partners with customer service representatives in managing the accounts.
  • Keeps current with selling trends and techniques, and uses agency-selling aids to help maintain a competitive status for the agency within the industry

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Motivated and goal-oriented
  • A professional presence and demeanor
  • Experience prospecting, networking and/or new business development
  • Proven work history and sales skills
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Coachable and competitive spirit
  • Ability to earn client trust along with excellent relationship management skills
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in the insurance industry a plus
  • License for life & health a plus
  • Must live in East Valley

PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT:

  • Remains informed regarding industry information and new product information
  • Expected to further industry education and development
  • Obtain Life & Health License and maintain continuing education as necessary
  • Additional personal/professional development courses

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30,000.00 - $102,100.06 per year
