GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Reporting to the Head of Communications and supporting the Director’s Office and Human Resources, the Employee Communications Associate will be responsible for managing and delivering a range of employee communications through a variety of channels across the Museum. Utilizing strong writing, editing, organizational and content management skills, you will work with colleagues across the Museum to develop and execute strategies for engaging and sharing information with staff, facilitating the flow of information across the institution.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Strategic and proactive thinking on how to inform, engage, and inspire staff through communications.
Collaborate with colleagues across the institution, including the Director’s Office and Human Resources, to develop and execute on objectives and manage content strategies and calendars
Write, edit, and produce clear, engaging internal staff-facing communications and materials
Manage multiple information channels to facilitate efficient and meaningful engagement across the Museum, including internal intranet, staff electronic message board, and printed materials
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, English, Art History or other related fields.
3 - 5 years’ work experience in employee communications
Mission-driven spirit and strong appreciation of arts
Strong organizational, communications and diplomacy skills.
Strong presentation and writing abilities
Strong comfort level with staff at all levels of the Museum
Ability to juggle multiple projects
Positive, proactive spirit
Strong background in project management
COMPENSATION RANGE:
The advertised pay scale reflects the good faith minimum and maximum salary range for this role. The advertised pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage for any specific employee. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, special licensing or qualifications, and other factors.

Location Requirements
At time of employment, employees are expected to be located within commuting distance of the Museum. “Commuting distance” means that they are located in one of following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, or Pennsylvania (the “Tri-state and PA” areas), and be able to commute to and from the Museum in a single day.
