Employee Relations Specialist

Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Employee Relations Specialist to support our growing operations. This role is responsible for managing employee relations, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and maintaining a productive and professional work environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with hourly employees in service-based industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions
  • Monitor and enforce attendance policies, including absenteeism and tardiness
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws (NJ/NY preferred)
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and termination processes
  • Maintain accurate employee records and documentation
  • Advise management on best HR practices and risk mitigation
  • Conduct investigations and provide recommendations for resolution

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Employee Relations or HR
  • Experience managing hourly workforce (cleaning, maintenance, or service industry preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. labor laws and compliance requirements
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
