Summary:
The position of the Employment and Recruiting Specialist is responsible for overseeing the full-cycle recruitment process and leading recruitment efforts across campus departments. This role also supports onboarding and contributes to the continuous improvement of recruitment strategies and processes.
Responsibilities:
This position serves as the primary point of contact for the organization’s recruiting needs. This includes building and maintaining candidate pipelines, screening candidate applications against the minimum qualifications, managing search processes, supporting search committees, and coordinating interviews and offers. The Employment and Recruiting Specialist will work closely with hiring managers to understand their needs, effectively communicate Casper College's mission and benefits to prospective employees, and ensure equitable and inclusive hiring practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
Minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience in human resources, recruiting, sales, or similar position providing a high level of customer service and effective communication
Knowledge of employment laws and best practices
Ability to use common training technology and office equipment, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
Ability to learn related software applications, including applicant tracking software and learning management systems
Proven ability to exercise good judgment and discretion
Strong attention to detail and ability to juggle shifting priorities and manage time effectively
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to build relationships across diverse teams.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in a directly relevant field, such as Human Resources or Business Administration
Experience working within a higher education or public sector organization
Experience working with applicant tracking and onboarding systems such as NeoEd/NeoGov, Workday, or similar
Experience providing training or instruction to a wide range of individuals
Typical work environment is an office setting requiring normal safety precautions. Short periods of time will be spent outdoors traveling between campus buildings in various weather conditions. Noise level is usually minimal. Work is usually performed during the normal workday however, early morning; late evening and weekend work may be required during periods of critical attendance to meet the peak periods related to position responsibilities. Occasional travel may be required.
Physical Demands:
Employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time, speak, hear, use hands and fingers to handle materials and use computers, feel, and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally, employee may walk, stand, climb stairs, or kneel for brief periods of time. Occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds may be required. Rare lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required (office supplies, books, paper boxes, etc.). Visual requirements require near and far acuity, depth perception and ability to focus.
Remote Work Eligibility:
Unless otherwise noted, all positions provide vital support to Casper College and require the successful candidate be available to work on location at the Casper College campus.
