We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Employment Law Paralegal to join our dynamic team. This position is pivotal in supporting our attorneys in effectively handling Employment Law cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in the preparation and management of employment law cases, including wrongful termination, discrimination claims, and wage disputes.
  • Draft legal documents including motions, pleadings, and discovery requests related to employment law matters.
  • Conduct thorough legal research on pertinent employment laws and regulations.
  • Organize and maintain case files, ensuring accurate records and timely responses to attorney requests.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather necessary information for cases.
  • Prepare for hearings and trials by compiling evidence and relevant case law.
  • Assist with e-filing documents in the appropriate courts.
  • Support the firm’s efforts in client relations and advocacy related to employment law issues.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certification from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in employment law or related practice.
  • Must possess experience in both the litigation and pre-litigation aspects
  • Proficiency in English is required, and fluency in Spanish is advantageous.
  • Experience in Personal Injury is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, and Title VII.
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills.
  • Proficient in the use of legal research tools and case management software.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and under deadlines.
