EMS Dispatcher

The EMS Dispatcher plays a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate deployment of LifeLine EMS units. This position requires strong communication skills, quick decision-making, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment. The Dispatcher will be responsible for receiving and triaging calls, assigning units, tracking vehicle status, and maintaining clear communication with field crews and facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and prioritize emergency and non-emergency calls via phone, portal, and radio.
  • Dispatch appropriate units based on call type (ALS/BLS), location, and availability.
  • Monitor unit status and location using CAD and GPS systems.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all calls and dispatch activity.
  • Communicate effectively with medics, SNFs, hospitals, and other stakeholder
  • Assist with shift coverage planning and vehicle rotation, especially during unit downtime.
  • Collaborate with leadership to improve dispatch protocols and response times.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
