We are seeking a professional, dependable, and customer-focused Dispatcher to join our team. This position plays a vital role in coordinating transportation requests, supporting field crews, and ensuring efficient service delivery for our clients and patients.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Dispatcher serves as the communication hub between healthcare facilities, clients, field staff, and management. This role is responsible for monitoring active operations, assigning trips, managing unit availability, and maintaining real-time communication to ensure transports are completed safely and efficiently.

This is a fast-paced position that requires strong multitasking abilities, excellent communication skills, and sound decision-making. The ideal candidate can remain calm under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and provide exceptional service while supporting daily operations.

Schedule: Friday – Monday

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate and dispatch ambulance and wheelchair transport requests
• Monitor unit status, crew availability, and transport progress in real time
• Assign trips based on location, availability, staffing, and service requirements
• Communicate effectively with hospitals, healthcare facilities, clients, and field crews
• Provide accurate estimated arrival times (ETAs) and transport updates
• Manage schedule adjustments, service delays, and operational changes throughout the shift
• Monitor incoming communications through phone, email, and dispatch software
• Escalate operational issues, service concerns, and staffing shortages when appropriate
• Maintain accurate records and documentation within company systems
• Support field staff and management with operational coordination and problem-solving
• Assist with after-hours and urgent transport requests
• Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 2-3 years of dispatch, logistics, customer service, call center, healthcare coordination, or related experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to learn and utilize dispatching and scheduling software
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to remain professional and composed during high-volume periods
• Reliable attendance and punctuality

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in EMS, medical transportation, healthcare operations, public safety dispatch, or transportation logistics
• Familiarity with dispatch software and GPS tracking systems
• Knowledge of the Greater Houston area and surrounding communities
• Experience coordinating mobile workforces or transportation resources
