EMSR Engineer

Job Title: Instrumentation & Control, Project Engineer, Contracting

Main responsibilities and tasks:

• Understand contract with respect to electrical and instrumentation scope.

• Responsible for execution tasks / projects / work packages (defined I&C work) within committed delivery dates.

• Extended the support to I&C PE team of BCx.

• Execution of electrical and instrumentation activity related to the projects with respective to following:

• Preparation of the specifications of instrumentation item (Data sheet & List of Instrumentation)

• Preparation of the schedule and BOM for cabling and instrumentation

• Preparation of logic diagram, Cause & Effect and control philosophy as per the project and P & I

• Follow-up with the vendor for drawing submission and approval.

• Proper document handling.

• Floating enquiries for instrumentation project items as required, review the technical offer and technical clearance to SCM for ordering.

• Review of the QAP for electrical and instrumentation items.

• Site support if any related I&C work executions executed project work.

• Provide the technical input to ECAD team to prepare the required instrumentation documents.

• Review the ECAD documents and submit to client for approval.

• Assist Team lead - Instrumentation for engineering and co-ordination / follow-up & KPI reporting.

• Maintain & adhere QMS and ISO procedures.

Education/ experience / languages:

Education & Experience: BE / B Tech (Instrumentation) 4 -7 years of experience in similar business and in Oil &Gas applications.

Skills

Awareness of engineering of rotating / static equipment’s and project management.

• Knowledge of international standards like IEC, API, ASME, ASTM, DIN etc.

• Fluent in English orally and in writing

• Knowledge of various PLC systems (SIL-2/3), Variable frequency drives, and soft starters is must.

• Knowledge of Hazardous area Instrumentation and electrical equipment.

• Knowledge of Eplan, Engineering base software (BC), Proma (BC) will be an added advantage.

• Knowledge of HART & Foundation fieldbus Instrumentation is preferred.

• Hands on Experience on PLC based starter cum control panel will be added advantage.

• Knowledge of EOHS.

Language:

• English

• Language skill in German would be added advantage.

• Timely completion of engineering

• Attending of various KOM, SIL review meeting, FAT & IFAT
