Southern Carrier Services is seeking compassionate, dependable, and professional EMT-Basics with stretcher transport experience to join our growing healthcare transportation team.

This is a NON-EMERGENCY position. Our EMT Transport Drivers provide safe and reliable transportation for patients traveling to medical appointments, hospital discharges, rehabilitation facilities, dialysis treatments, and other healthcare services.

This role is ideal for EMTs looking for a stable schedule, meaningful patient interaction, and an opportunity to continue serving their community outside of emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport ambulatory, wheelchair, and stretcher patients
• Assist with patient loading, unloading, and transfers
• Operate stretcher equipment safely and professionally
• Ensure passengers are transported with dignity, compassion, and respect
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, healthcare facilities, caregivers, and patients
• Complete trip documentation accurately and timely
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and readiness
• Follow all company safety standards, transportation regulations, and patient-care protocols

Qualifications

• Current EMT-Basic certification required
• Stretcher transport certification or experience preferred
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to safely lift, maneuver, and assist patients
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Professional appearance and dependable attendance
• Previous NEMT, EMS, hospital transport, patient transport, or healthcare experience preferred
