End Dump Truck Driver

Job Summary

We are seeking skilled End Dump Truck Drivers to join our heavy equipment operation team at Peabody Bear Run Mine. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting materials to and from sites using end dump trucks, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety standards. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation, site protocols, and mechanical knowledge to support various related tasks on-site.

Responsibilities

• Operate end dump trucks efficiently and safely across sites and haul materials such as gravel, dirt, and debris.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of trucks and ensure proper maintenance and safety checks are completed before each shift.
• Coordinate with site supervisors and other equipment operators to facilitate smooth material delivery schedules..
• Maintain compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during operations.
• Keep accurate records of loads transported, fuel usage, and maintenance issues.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

• Physical Ability: Must be able to sit for extended periods, navigate rough terrain, climb into high cabs, and work in challenging weather conditions.
• Certification: MSHA training/certification is required for coal mine sites.
• Environment: High-demand surface mining environment, often 10-12 hour shifts, night shifts, and weekends.
• Hazards: Exposure to dust, noise, vibration, and steep terrains.
• Vehicle Inspection & Maintenance: Perform daily, thorough inspections of the truck (e.g., tires, fluid levels, lights, brakes) before and after shifts.
• Operational Safety: Adhere to all safety rules, including speed limits on haul roads, proper positioning, and safe dumping procedures to prevent rollovers or equipment damage.
• Communication: Maintain communication with dispatchers, excavators, and loader operators to coordinate loading and dumping, while reporting any maintenance faults, accidents, or injuries promptly.

This job requires MSHA certification. Applicants will be asked to conduct a pre employment background check , drug screen and physical. Will be trained on days for 6 weeks, then would move to night shift.

This is a temporary position, with the possibility of employment.

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
