Endocrinologist – Clinical Research Physician

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate clinical research studies focused on endocrine and metabolic conditions, ensuring adherence to protocol and regulatory guidelines.
• Monitor patient safety and progress throughout clinical trials, including patient recruitment, informed consent processes, and ongoing assessments.
• Conduct detailed documentation review to maintain accurate records of study data, adverse events, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee laboratory procedures related to tissue culture, protein purification, ELISA assays, Western blotting, PCR, flow cytometry, chromatography, and other molecular biology techniques.
• Collaborate with research teams to design experiments involving cell culture, transfection, microscopy, mammalian cell culture, and animal physiology models.
• Ensure compliance with ICH Good Clinical Practice (GCP), HIPAA regulations for patient privacy, FDA regulations for clinical trials, and other relevant standards.
• Utilize statistical software such as SAS, R, and Python for data analysis and interpretation of research findings.

Skills

• Extensive experience in tissue culture techniques including mammalian cell culture and transfection methods.
• Proven knowledge of molecular biology assays such as PCR, Western blotting, ELISA, flow cytometry, chromatography, and cell-based assays.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial processes within the scope of FDA regulations and GCP standards.
• Familiarity with research laboratory practices involving protein purification and animal physiology models.
• Proficiency in data analysis using SAS, R, Python or similar statistical tools for research purposes.
• Excellent documentation review skills ensuring accuracy in study records and regulatory submissions.
• Ability to monitor patient safety effectively while maintaining strict confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines.
