Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Endocrinologist Collaborative Physician to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. This role involves providing expert endocrine care, collaborating with specialists across various medical disciplines, and contributing to patient-centered treatment plans. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in endocrinology and demonstrate proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems, medical imaging, and clinical research. Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive endocrine evaluations, diagnoses, and management plans for patients with diabetes, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, and other hormonal imbalances.
- Collaborate closely with specialists in cardiology, nephrology, neurology, obstetrics/gynecology, oncology, and other fields to coordinate multidisciplinary patient care.
- Utilize advanced EHR systems such as Epic and EMR platforms to document clinical encounters accurately and efficiently.
- Interpret diagnostic imaging including CT scans, nuclear medicine studies, and other radiologic assessments relevant to endocrine conditions.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives aimed at advancing endocrine treatment modalities and improving patient outcomes.
- Conduct patient assessments, develop personalized care plans, and provide education on disease management including lifestyle modifications and medication adherence.
- Engage in perioperative care for endocrine surgeries and manage post-operative recovery protocols.
- Implement specialized procedures such as botulinum toxin treatments when indicated for endocrine-related conditions.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and uphold the highest standards of patient confidentiality and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Medical degree from an accredited institution with board certification or eligibility in Endocrinology.
- Proven experience working within inpatient and outpatient settings, including hospital medicine or Level I/II trauma centers preferred.
- Proficiency with EHR systems such as Epic or similar platforms; experience with medical imaging interpretation is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD coding, and clinical research methodologies.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex cases involving diabetes care, reproductive endocrinology, neuroendocrinology, or pediatric endocrinology is advantageous.
- Experience with advanced procedures like ultrasound-guided injections or catheterization techniques related to endocrine treatments is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
