Responsibilities
- Perform root canal treatments and other endodontic procedures with precision and care, utilizing advanced dental technology and techniques.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review, dental examinations, and diagnostic imaging to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Collaborate seamlessly with general dentists, pediatric dentists, oral surgeons, prosthodontists, and other specialists to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinic policies.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques during all procedures to safeguard patient health.
- Educate patients on endodontic procedures, post-treatment care, and preventive practices to promote long-term oral health.
- Stay current with advancements in endodontics by participating in continuing education opportunities and integrating new techniques into practice.
Skills
- Proficiency in using dental software such as Open Dental, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and record management.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical imaging interpretation, and infection control standards.
- Skilled in performing root canal therapy, and related procedures within a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
- Familiarity with the ability to handle medical records accurately while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
- Demonstrated expertise in four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize efficiency during procedures.
