Energy Services Mechanic Sr

Here's the Role:
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented individual for our Energy Services Mechanic position in Austin, Texas! You'll be responsible for the upkeep, inspection and repair on all mechanical maintenance equipment in our hydro facilities. How You’ll Contribute:
  • Service and maintain mechanical equipment, including air compressors, heat exchangers, gear reducers, valves, pumps, and fans. Dismantle and reassemble turbine generators as required for assigned work area.
  • Read blueprints, consults manuals, parts lists and keep drawings and schematics up-to-date and accurate.
  • Assist electrical and controls team members in tasks such as bearing work, friction and anti-friction on our equipment (turbine-generator; pumps, etc).
  • Plan and schedule work (checking parts availability, equipment availability, and labor) and give guidance to maintenance crews periodically.
  • Operate handheld manual tools and power tools (e.g., rock saws and cut-off saws) in performing repair and maintenance tasks.
  • Mentor junior team members with day-to-day guidance and direction.
How You’re Qualified:
  • Four or more years of experience in maintenance and/or repair of mechanical equipment or other relevant experience.
  • A degree(s) in mechanical or industrial maintenance, instrumentation, controls or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
  • Driver's license required for incumbents assigned to the dam & hydro function.
