Energy Systems Project Manager- Service

The Energy Systems Project Manager is responsible for planning and oversight of all phases of projects (From Engineering, Procurement, Installation and Startup & Commissioning to Closeout) to ensure customer satisfaction stays at the highest levels. Resolving issues related to scope of work on different size and complex projects. Managing financials including cost to complete plans, billings and cash flow to ensure profitability. Oversight of internal labor requirement. Acting as Syserco’s point of contact with customers for all project related issues.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

ü Oversee Syserco’s project deliverables and contractual obligations

ü Oversee Syserco project team including subcontractors (when applicable)

ü Ensure startup and commissioning of control and HVAC systems is complete

ü Manage project closeout phase including all requirements needed to close a project

ü Create, maintain and manage project schedules, labor plans and project documents

ü Overall financial responsibility against established budget, including change orders

ü Proactive assistance to Accounting with collections of projects

ü Consistent and clear communication with internal and external customers

ü Ensure quality, timeliness and completeness of work performed within budget

ü Adhere to Syserco’s Policies and Procedures, HR, Safety Plan and others

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

ü Excellent verbal and written communication skills

ü Knowledge of HVAC DDC controls theory and applications

ü Excellent understanding of construction law and local codes

ü Strong troubleshooting skills

ü Ability to work independently and unsupervised

ü Strong analytical and financial management skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

ü Operation of standard office equipment including utilizing pertinent software applications and use of computer equipment for extended periods of time. Required to stand, sit and maneuver around office area.

ü Valid CA drivers’ license with the ability to drive and operate a vehicle is required to perform customer site visits.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

ü Engineering Undergraduate Degree or Equivalence in combination between work experience and education

ü 3+ years of Industry Experience

ü Construction, HVAC and/or mechanical systems knowledge

ü Computer literate and proficient in project accounting software and MS Project

ü Proven management experience of people
