Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineer with a strong background in AutoCAD, CAD + T, and technical drawing for the wood manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing detailed production drawings, generating CNC programs, and supporting the transition from design to manufacturing for custom wood products. This role is crucial in ensuring product accuracy, manufacturing efficiency, and high-quality output.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review detailed technical drawings, shop drawings, and 3D models for wood products using AutoCAD and CAD + T.
• Generate accurate CNC programs and cutting lists for wood manufacturing machinery (e.g., Biesse, Homag, SCM, etc.).
• Collaborate with design, production, and project management teams to translate client requirements and architectural plans into manufacturable components.
• Optimize material usage, production processes, and nesting strategies to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
• Ensure designs comply with manufacturing standards, tolerances, and joinery techniques.
• Conduct design reviews, quality checks, and resolve technical issues during production.
• Maintain drawing libraries, CNC files, BOMs (Bills of Materials), and documentation in an organized manner.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest enhancements to design and production workflows.
