The position

Overview:
The Engineer will report directly to the Senior Engineer of the project of AKCS-P. This role involves all responsibilities of civil engineering including design, site supervision, cost estimation and proper documentation adhering to organizational policies and procedures.

About AKCS-P:
The Aga Khan Cultural Service - Pakistan (AKCS-P) is the country affiliate of the Aga Khan Trust for Culture (AKTC), the cultural agency of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN). AKCS-P is a non-profit development institution, registered in Pakistan under section 42 of the Companies Act 2017 as a non-governmental organization. AKCS-P works to improve living conditions and opportunities in developing regions, including Pakistan.

Role Summary:
The Engineer will manage site supervision, design, cost estimates and documentation adhering to organizational policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:
Design and Assessment
Handle all civil engineering responsibilities including design and structural assessment of historic buildings, as well as services and structural design.
Cost Estimates
Prepare cost estimates and bills of quantities for project.
Documentation
Maintain proper and accurate documentation of the project related activities.
Compliance and Policy Implementation
Ensure adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and compliance with local regulations.
Miscellaneous Duties
Perform additional engineering related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

The requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
Minimum 2 years of professional experience after graduation.

Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency in computing
MSOffice
AutoCAD preferred
The position is based in Gupis-Gilgit Baltistan
