Responsibilities
- Develop detailed system designs and schematics using CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards.
- Conduct comprehensive root cause analysis to troubleshoot technical issues in manufacturing, construction, or laboratory settings, implementing effective solutions swiftly.
- Manage project schedules, coordinate cross-disciplinary teams, and oversee project management tasks to ensure timely delivery of engineering projects.
- Perform data collection, analysis, and research to support system design improvements and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Utilize programming languages such as Python, C++, MATLAB, and scripting tools to automate processes, analyze data, and develop simulation models.
- Apply systems engineering principles to integrate mechanical, civil, and quantum engineering components into cohesive solutions.
- Use 3D scanners and other advanced tools for precise measurements and mechanical design validation.
- Prepare detailed schematics, technical documentation, and laboratory reports to communicate findings effectively.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
- Proven experience with project scheduling, project management methodologies, and systems design processes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with expertise in CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, construction practices, and laboratory research environments.
- Proficiency in programming languages including Python, C++, MATLAB, along with scripting skills for automation tasks.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics for system control applications.
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards for mechanical drawings.
- Data analysis skills with experience in data collection techniques and using tools like 3D scanners or data analysis software.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis efficiently while maintaining meticulous documentation of findings.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
