Engineer (Automation Systems)

Qualifications and Competencies:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electronics/Computer Systems Engineering
• Practical Experience on maintenance of Automation Systems in Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, or related industries.
• Well familiar with HSEQ Standards / Work Practices in a Fuel Oil Refinery / Petrochemical Plants, Hands-on experience on Enterprise Resource Planner (ERP) System, e.g., SAP, Good understanding of P&IDs, Logic Diagrams, Cause & Effect Charts, PFDs, interlock Drawings, etc.
• Should have extensive experience in performing jobs on DCS (Distributed Control System), ESD (Emergency Shutdown System), PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)
• Hands-on experience on the Yokogawa DCS Centum-VP and Honeywell DCS Experion-PKS
• Hands-on experience on the Yokogawa ESD Pro Safe-RS and Honeywell ESD Safety Manager Systems
• Familiarization with ladder logic and functional blocks implementation in PLCs; Hands-on experience on Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron PLCs.
• Hands-on experience on VMware-based control System Virtualization environment
• Good Communication and Presentation Skills.
• Strong analytical skills, including statistical skills.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring the availability of Automation Systems as per Process requirements.
• Ensure timely completion of Preventive, Corrective, Breakdown, Shutdown, and Turnaround Maintenance activities. Responsible for managing Preventive & Corrective Maintenance of Automation Systems installed in the Refinery.
• Development of DCS Graphics, Control Drawings (Logic Charts, Sequence Table, Sequence and Batch Oriented Language, Sequence Flow charts and other regulatory and advanced regulatory function blocks), I/O Module configuration, Process Alarms, security assignments, trend pen, controller group assignments and DCS reports development as per operation requirements.
• Perform addition/modification in I/O, Control Modules, Standard and Custom Algorithm Block (CAB) in Control Builder. Addition/modification of Flex-Stations, SCADA Points, Controllers and Channel in Quick Builder. Development and modification of DCS Graphics in Web Graphic Developer.
• Carry out cost optimization studies to reduce the overall cost of Automation System maintenance services.
• Provide Automation System-related maintenance inputs on Modification / Engineering Packages, Contractor Scope of Works, and Technical Evaluations.
• Effectively coordinate with relevant departments to ensure availability of adequate levels of stock materials and spares to sustain Automation Systems maintenance.
• Responsible for Maintenance and Troubleshooting of DCS, ESD, TGS, TAS and PLC Systems.
• Diagnose and resolve issues in Automation systems, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to ensure minimal downtime.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation such as wiring diagrams, control logic descriptions, user manuals, and ensure systems meet regulatory and safety standards.
• Analyze system performance and implement control strategies or upgrades / obsolescence management to optimize productivity and system efficiency.
• Ensure the compliance of the PARCO Corporate Policies, Guidelines, Procedures, and applicable Regulatory requirements in his/her group and arrange trainings and provide guidance to his staff so that they grow to their full potential.
