Engineer Casting

BASIC FUNCTION

To take charge of the Casting function in the plant. Will be responsible for meeting all production, cost, productivity, and quality objectives of the Casting function.

Job Description

Position’s Responsibility:

As a Casting Engineer, you’ll oversee the production process,

• plan and draw up a production schedule
• decide on and order the resources that are required and ensure Inventory levels remain adequate
• select equipment and take responsibility for its maintenance
• set quality standards
• organise the repair of any damaged equipment
• liaise with different departments, teams, and companies
• ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed at all times
• ensure department ISO document, QMS , SOP and any related control parameters.
• work with team to maintain 5S on the shop floor.
• supervise and motivate a team of Supervisor/workers
• review Supervisor/ worker performance and identify training needs.
  
  

Position’s Accountabilities

• Safety management in Dept.
• Responsible for Dept Kaizen, ISO, and employee participation in quality circles/small group activity & Kohler operating systems (KOS) and Glass Wall
• Responsible for team building and good work-culture on the shopfloor.
  
  

Relationships & Contacts

Supervisory Relationships:

Directly report to Manager Casting of Jhagadia Kohler.

Organization Relationship: (internal contact)

Close co-ordination with Plant HR, Materials, Quality, Engineering, Slip Making, Laboratory, Greenware, Spray, Kiln & FPP

Education Required

Education and Experience Requirements

Must be a B.tech in Ceramic. Engg.

Experience Required

Must have 3- 5 Years’ experience in Ceramic Production
