Position Summary

Integral Forensics is seeking an Engineer / Visual Developer to support the creation of visual documentation and demonstrative exhibits used in expert analysis, courtroom presentations, and settlement discussions. This role involves processing and organizing inspection photography, preparing captioned photologs, modeling site conditions and structures in Blender (or similar tools), and assisting with the development of diagrams, reconstructions, and simple animations. The ideal candidate has strong visual storytelling skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to translate real-world environments into clear, accurate visual materials.

• Location: El Segundo, CA (Hybrid)
• Hours: Full-Time
• Compensation: $85,000-$95,000 annually (negotiable), commensurate with experience and qualifications.

• 401(k) plan with employer matching expected to be implemented at January, 2026.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and retrieval of relevant industry codes and standards (municipal codes, building codes, MUTCD, ASTM/ANSI/etc).
• Organize and edit inspection photography; create captioned photologs and site documentation.
• Create 3D models, environments, and visual exhibits in Blender or comparable software. 
• Assist in producing visual demonstratives, including annotated diagrams, schematics, and renderings for use in reports, mediations, and trials.
• Perform basic compositing and image editing in Photoshop (or equivalent).
• Work closely with engineers to translate technical opinions into clear, visual representations.
• Retrieve historical satellite imagery and site condition reviews. 

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Blender, Photoshop, or comparable 3D & image-editing tools.
• Strong ability to visually explain environments, layouts, or physical conditions.
• Prior experience with case review, legal document analysis, or discovery (ideal).
• Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working through revisions.
• Strong written communication skills for captioning and visual explanation.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines. 
• Hybrid role (office in El Segundo, CA). 
• Education/Training: Bachelor’s degree required in Engineering (i.e., Mechanical, Civil, or similar). Bachelor's Degree or experience in Digital Media, Animation, Graphic Design, Architecture, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
• Portfolio: Portfolio demonstrating 3D modeling/CGI and visual communication skills.

Skills Test

As part of our evaluation, we have a small test assignment to gauge your approach to photo documentation and visual compositing. The assignment includes:

• Captioning a short set of inspection photographs
• Demonstrative visualization tasks (recoloring a curb and adding paint/traffic cone to a scene)
