Engineer Mechanical , Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) Building Contracting

Urgent MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) Building Contracting Engineer in Dubai required. The candidate must be expert in designs, plans, installs, and manages the critical building systems that ensure safety, comfort, and functionality.

Key responsibilities include overseeing the design and installation of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, ensuring compliance with local codes (like DEWA), managing project schedules and budgets, coordinating with subcontractors, and liaising with local authorities for approvals and inspections.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, with MEP systems and local regulations is typically required.
• Proven 4-5 years experience as an MEP Engineer in Dubai or the UAE, with strong knowledge of local building codes and authority regulations.
• Proficiency in design software like AutoCAD or Revit.
• Strong understanding of MEP system interrelationships and construction sequencing.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Planning: Collaborate with architects and clients to design and plan complex Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems, ensuring they meet project specifications and client requirements.
• Technical Review: Review and approve Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing drawings, material submittals, and other technical documents to ensure quality and compliance.
• Installation & Commissioning: Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems, ensuring they function correctly and efficiently on-site.
• Coordination: Coordinate effectively with other engineers, architects, and construction personnel to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems within the building's overall design.
• Authority Liaison: Liaise with Dubai's local authorities, such as Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), for project approvals, inspections, and final clearances.
• Project Management: Manage MEP-related project schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring timely completion and adherence to financial constraints.
• Quality & Safety: Implement and enforce safety standards and regulations, ensuring all MEP activities comply with local codes and industry best practices.
• Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues or design changes that arise during the project lifecycle.
