Core Responsibilities:
- Develop top level quality processes and procedures based on multiple customers, industry, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and execute training related to special processes to ensure compliance.
- Co-develop individual work instructions with the Manufacturing and Quality Engineering teams.
- Perform/Review qualification tests to troubleshoot machines and processes.
- Lead internal and external audits for multiple Nadcap certified special processes.
- Perform Root Cause and Corrective Actions on audit findings and production nonconformances.
- Participate in design, manufacturing, and test documentation reviews to ensure applicable contract, program, design and quality requirements are met.
- Lead continuous projects in team environment.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in Quality or Manufacturing Engineering; aerospace industry experience is a differentiator.
- 1-2 years of experience with manufacturing process engineering; sheet metal fabrications preferred.
- Understanding of various special processes and the relationship to material properties in Titanium alloys and High Temperature super alloys.
- Familiarity with quality inspection tools & equipment (CMM, Calipers, Micrometers, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience in customer relations and resolving issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S.
- Ideal Candidates will have experience with one of more of the following special processes
- Heat Treating/Brazing/Hardness Testing
- Welding
- Nonconventional Machining
- Shot Peening
