The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all construction activities comply with project specifications, quality standards, and client requirements. The role involves inspection, testing, documentation, and implementation of quality control procedures at site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and implement Project Quality Plan (PQP).
- Conduct site inspections as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Ensure materials used at site meet approved standards.
- Coordinate with site engineers and supervisors for quality compliance.
- Monitor testing of materials (concrete, soil, aggregates, bitumen etc.).
- Maintain quality records, test reports, and inspection reports.
- Raise NCR (Non-Conformance Report) when required.
- Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
- Liaise with consultants, clients, and third-party testing agencies.
- Conduct internal quality audits.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards (if applicable).
- Prepare quality progress reports for management.
Required Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Experience:
- 3–8 years of experience in road / infrastructure / construction projects.
- Experience in highway or road projects preferred.
Key Skills:
- Knowledge of QA/QC procedures and documentation.
- Understanding of IS codes and project specifications.
- Material testing knowledge (soil, concrete, asphalt).
- Good reporting and documentation skills.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Problem-solving ability.
