Responsibilities

The main purpose of the Engineer – Quality (Mechanical) job is to schedule and execute quality audits in an efficient and timely manner

  • Support the day-to-day responsibilities of the Project Quality team in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures while meeting the approved budget.
  • Assist the Project QA Manager in analyzing and monitoring the performance of the Project’s Quality team against schedule and reflect findings in monthly and quarterly project review meetings.
  • Support in ensuring the Quality deliverables schedule is updated based on identified project risks and mitigation plans.
  • Support in maintaining the Company’s Quality certifications.
  • Ensure the Quality policy is implemented to minimize hazards.
  • Support in ensuring compliance with Quality legislation, regulations, rules, standards, and requirements.
  • Assist management in evaluating the effectiveness of the implementation of the Quality program.
  • Support in working with all divisions to ensure that major issues are identified and addressed, including issues raised by clients.
  • Assist in coordinating with all parties for the execution of periodic audits related to Quality.
  • Support the development of the Company’s expertise, know-how, controls, and capabilities in Quality, and provide support for the professional development (including training) of direct reports: staff and managers.
  • Support in managing the responsibility for the maintenance and effectiveness of the Project’s Quality System.
  • Support the Quality and Project teams in selecting, coordinating, controlling, and directing activities and initiating continuous improvement.
  • Support in ensuring Quality requirements, specifications, standards, and processes are complied with.
  • Plan and administer a Quality Assurance internal audit program to ensure continuous and consistent compliance with adopted and established quality standards, particularly ISO standards.
  • Provide recommendations on continuous improvement related to new and existing processes through internal audits and site visits.
  • Communicate audit results and recommendations with concerned entities, particularly Functional and Project Managers.
  • Ensure compliance with overall Quality and ISO operations in accordance with safety, environmental, and budgetary requirements.
  • Develop and maintain the Quality Manual and Quality Procedures, including QA/QC forms.
  • Prepare Quality training presentations for Project QA/QC use.
  • Prepare and conduct compliance checks against current processes and procedures.
  • Prepare the Annual Management Review Report to be presented to Top Management.
  • Prepare QA/QC tender requirements (Project Quality Plan, etc.) as well as pre-qualification requirements for tender purposes.
  • Prepare and arrange interview schedules for QA/QC candidates.
  • Assist other departments in preparing and formatting their processes and procedures.
  • Supervise analysis, inspection, design, and testing activities to ensure the highest standards of Quality.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English (Arabic is a plus).
  • Bachelor in Engineering – Mechanical Engineer.
  • Qualified ISO 9001 Internal / Lead Auditor.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Quality.
  • Experienced in the Middle East is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge in business advisory.
  • Knowledge in project management.
  • Knowledge in risk management.
  • Proficient in engineering.
  • Proficient in QA/QC management.
