JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY:
The Engineer – Capability & Regulatory Liaison is responsible for supporting Sanad’s interaction with regulatory authorities, managing approvals, and ensuring compliance with evolving regulations and standards.
The role focuses on the administration and coordination of National Aviation Authority (NAA) approvals, capability approvals, supplier approvals, staff authorizations, and regulatory updates. It acts as a liaison between Sanad and external regulators/customers, while ensuring that internal stakeholders are aligned with approval requirements and compliance expectations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. NAA Approval Management

Support applications, renewals, and variations of NAA approvals (e.g., GCAA, EASA, FAA).

Coordinate documentation and evidence required for authority approval processes.

Maintain approval certificates and ensure visibility across relevant stakeholders.
2. Capability Approval Management

Assist in preparing and submitting capability extension/renewal requests.

Ensure documentation such as MOE updates, work scope definitions, and technical data are complete and accurate.

Track approval status and follow up with authorities/customers as required.
3. Supplier Approval Management

Support supplier approval, monitoring, and renewal processes.

Maintain approved supplier lists and ensure compliance with regulatory and company requirements.

Coordinate with Procurement and Quality teams to ensure supplier audits are properly documented.
4. Regulations and Standards Update

Monitor changes in aviation regulations, standards, and customer requirements.

Update internal stakeholders on regulatory developments and their implications.

Support incorporation of regulatory updates into company manuals, processes, and training.
5. Staff Authorizations

Support issuance, renewal, and withdrawal of internal staff authorizations (e.g., inspectors, certifying staff).

Ensure records of authorizations are properly maintained, updated, and communicated.
6. Reporting and Liaison Support

Prepare status reports, dashboards, and presentations for approvals and regulatory liaison activities.

Act as point of coordination between Sanad and regulators/customers during approval audits and reviews.
7. Other Duties

Perform any other tasks assigned by the Manager – Regulatory Compliance Monitoring or Senior Engineer in support of departmental objectives.
9. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES
Minimum Qualifications:
(Education/Certification/Licensure/Professional Membership)

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial management, quality management or related field.

Completion of or active enrollment in Internal Auditor or Investigator training is preferred.

Awareness of EASA Part-145, AS9110, or equivalent compliance standards.
Minimum Experience:

3 to 4 years of experience in aviation quality, safety, compliance, or regulatory liaison roles.

Exposure to approval management processes (NAA, capability, supplier, or staff authorizations).
