- Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial, or Petroleum Engineering, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in supplier quality or manufacturing quality, preferably in oilfield services or heavy industrial sectors.
- Familiarity with API, ISO 9001, and oilfield equipment standards.
- Experience with root cause analysis tools (e.g., FMEA, Fishbone).
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Willingness to travel to supplier sites and field locations as needed.
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels of the organization.
- Responsibilities
- Supplier Qualification & Audits
- Conduct supplier assessments and audits to ensure compliance with API Q1/Q2, ISO 9001, and internal standards.
- Evaluate potential suppliers for technical capability, quality systems, and operational risk specific to oilfield applications.
- Quality Control & Inspection
- Develop and implement supplier quality control plans tailored to high-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT) environments and field reliability.
- Monitor incoming materials and components (e.g., valves, elastomers, machined parts) for conformance to specifications and service conditions.
- Issue Resolution & Continuous Improvement
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for supplier-related nonconformances, including field failures and warranty claims.
- Collaborate with suppliers to improve product quality, reduce cost of poor quality (COPQ), and enhance reliability under harsh operating conditions.
- Performance Monitoring
- Track and report supplier performance metrics such as PPM, on-time delivery, defect rates, and field reliability.
- Present findings to internal stakeholders and support strategic sourcing decisions.
- Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain quality documentation including inspection reports, audit findings, and corrective actions.
- Ensure supplier compliance with industry regulations (e.g., API, ISO, NACE) and internal policies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with procurement, engineering, manufacturing, and field operations to resolve quality issues and align supplier capabilities with operational needs.
- Support new product development by validating supplier processes and capabilities for oilfield-grade components.
- Other duties as assigned.
