Job Title: Engineer/Designer

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Engineer/Designer to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in the design and development of a wide range of custom machines, structures, weldments, and other equipment to support our customers’ needs. You’ll work closely with our Customer Relations Managers to create detailed designs, models, and drawings — primarily using SolidWorks.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with skilled technicians and fabricators to design and develop a variety of mechanical and structural solutions for client projects, from concept to production.
  • Create detailed design specifications, 3D models, and prototypes using CAD software.
  • Develop and execute design validation and testing plans as needed to ensure product quality and compliance with industry standards.
  • Contribute to material selection, manufacturing processes, and supplier coordination for designed equipment.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing and quality control teams during ramp-up and production.
  • Continuously improve existing designs based on customer feedback and evolving market needs.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical or welding equipment design and development.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD (or similar CAD software).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Portfolio showcasing relevant design projects and achievements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree in Welding Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with FEA, CFD, or other simulation tools.
  • Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
  • Familiarity with welding and forming techniques.
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
  • Strong understanding of welding processes, metallurgy, and material properties.

We offer a competitive salary, health benefits, and opportunities for professional growth and development within the welding and fabrication industry. If you’re passionate about creating innovative solutions and enjoy working in a hands-on, collaborative environment, we’d love to hear from you.
