  • Develop and maintain detailed operation breakdowns, time studies, and SMV (Standard Minute Value) calculations for all knitwear styles.
  • Analyze production performance data to identify opportunities for improving line throughput, efficiency, and resource utilization.
  • Oversee pre-production trials to validate layout designs, methods, capacity requirements, and engineering assumptions.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing production costs through layout enhancement, method optimization, and productivity improvement.
  • Prepare, present, and monitor reports on line efficiency, SMV achievement, and overall engineering contribution to production performance.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Textile Engineering, or a related discipline. A Master’s degree (MBA/Engineering Management) is preferred.
  • 12–15 years of experience in garment manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior engineering leadership role or production.
  • Proven and essential experience in knitwear manufacturing (T-shirts, polos, sweatshirts, activewear).
  • Strong expertise in Work Study, Line Balancing, Method Engineering, and Productivity Improvement methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience in driving productivity enhancements and waste reduction initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee end-to-end garment manufacturing processes: knitting, cutting, sewing, finishing, and packing.
  • Proven track record in leading, mentoring, and developing large Industrial Engineering teams.
  • Ability to design and execute engineering strategies that support organizational growth, operational efficiency, and cost optimization.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to correlate engineering decisions to cost impact, ROI, and profitability.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems, production audits, and international buyer compliance requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of managing cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities, especially in fast-paced, high-pressure manufacturing environments.
