POSITION SUMMARY
The Engineering Documentation Specialist is responsible for creating, organizing, and maintaining internal engineering documentation that supports product development, configuration, and lifecycle management. This role ensures that engineering teams have clear, consistent, and up‑to‑date information to support design work, configuration decisions, manufacturing readiness, and engineering change management. This position focuses exclusively on internal documentation—no marketing or customer‑facing writing. The ideal candidate has strong writing and organizational skills, an interest in technical products, and the ability to work closely with engineers, CAD designers, and project teams.

Competency Statement(s)
Education and/or Experience
Requires 2+ years of experience in an engineering organization with background in technical communication writing instructions, documentation, and process guides.
Computer Skills
Proficient in Microsoft products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. Microsoft D365 and Visio experience is a plus.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Strong written communication, editing, and proofreading skills.
Other Skills and Abilities
Interest in technical concepts and systems, manufacturing, engineering processes, and/or custom product development. Ability to learn and understand mechanical, electrical, or systemlevel technical concepts.
