Engineering Intern

The Village of Plainfield is seeking a temporary Engineering Intern for our Public Works Department/Engineering Division.

This is a temporary, seasonal, position which will perform moderately technical engineering duties. Work is performed under the direction of the Superintendent of Public Improvements or other managers as assigned. Work may involve inspections of methods and materials used in the construction of roadways, curbs, gutters, and other public improvements; review and interpretation of construction plans and specifications; assistance with surveying for Village projects; measuring of all quantities used in construction projects and other statistical data collection; assistance with internal traffic studies; office related functions including data entry, filing and scanning; interaction with the public, contractors, and Village employees.

Starting pay rate for this seasonal position is $18.00 per hour. Please review the full job description for more details.
