Our client, a market-leading real estate technology company, is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead two critical teams: Platform Infrastructure and Security Engineering . This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll shape the future of the company’s cloud environment, security posture, and engineering culture.

This position is based in New York City and requires 4 days per week onsite .

The Opportunity

As the Engineering Manager for Infrastructure & Security, you will own the strategic direction, execution, and continuous improvement of the company’s cloud infrastructure and security engineering programs. You’ll guide high-performing teams, build modern scalable systems, and drive a secure-by-design approach across the business.

You’ll play a key role in establishing technical strategy, maturing security processes, and enabling the engineering organisation to move faster, more securely, and with greater reliability.

What You’ll Do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a talented team of Infrastructure and Security Engineers
• Define and deliver long-term technical strategies and roadmaps for infrastructure and security
• Set and report on quarterly OKRs, ensuring alignment with wider business objectives
• Promote automation, scalability, and operational excellence across the engineering function
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI to drive efficiency, innovation, and business value
• Oversee cloud and vendor budgets, managing spend against forecasts
• Ensure reliable, secure, and high-quality service delivery
• Stay ahead of emerging trends, tools, and technologies to evolve the infrastructure stack
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and psychologically safe team culture
• Act as the technical and strategic escalation point for complex infra and security challenges
• Work cross-functionally with Product, Customer Success, and other stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience leading Infrastructure and Security Engineering teams in a cloud-native environment
• Deep expertise across AWS, GCP, or Azure, including IAM, VPC, Kubernetes, IaC (Terraform), and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong understanding of Application Security, vulnerability management, and integrating SAST/DAST/SCA into the SDLC
• Experience driving large-scale infrastructure or security initiatives from design through to completion
• Strong budget management skills across cloud operations and vendor spend
• Excellent stakeholder management and the ability to champion security best practices across the business
• A track record of developing unified infrastructure and security roadmaps that enhance scalability, reliability, and security
