Location: Milford, MI (Onsite)

Duration: 12+ Months Contract (Potential Extension)

Shift: Multiple Shifts Available

Available Shifts:

  • 2nd Shift: Wed–Sat | 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM
  • 3rd Shift: Sun–Wed | 9:00 PM – 7:30 AM


Job Summary:

We are seeking an Engineering Maintenance / Emissions Lab Technician to support emissions testing operations within a state-of-the-art automotive test facility. This role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, calibrating, and verifying equipment used in vehicle emissions and EV testing environments.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting experience and the ability to work in a fast-paced laboratory/test cell environment supporting advanced automotive technologies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair test cell systems and facility equipment
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities
  • Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot instrumentation and emissions measurement equipment
  • Support fuel systems, drive systems, pumps, heaters, heat exchangers, and dynamometers
  • Perform wiring, harness, and transducer installation/calibration
  • Verify operation of emissions testing equipment and related systems
  • Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings/schematics
  • Work collaboratively with team leads and technicians across shifts
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow established procedures and regulations


Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associate Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 3+ years of hands-on electrical and/or mechanical experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents and procedures
  • Comfortable working with high-voltage systems including 480VAC and 1000VDC
  • Experience with calibration, instrumentation, maintenance, or industrial equipment
  • Ability to work independently and in team environments


Nice to Have:

  • Experience in emissions testing or automotive test labs
  • Calibration and metrology experience
  • Welding and fabrication experience
  • Exposure to EV technologies and advanced automotive systems


Work Environment:

  • Clean, climate-controlled indoor lab/test facility
  • Hands-on technical environment supporting advanced automotive and EV technologies
  • Opportunity to work with next-generation vehicle platforms and emissions systems

  • Interview with Hiring Manager and Team Leads
