Salary Range: $110,000 to 130,000/Year

The Engineering Manager will lead the engineering department at our Conway, SC facility, driving innovation, efficiency, and operational excellence in durable goods manufacturing. This role oversees cross-functional engineering teams responsible for product engineering, manufacturing processes, and energy management. The successful candidate will align engineering initiatives with business objectives, enhance process control systems, and implement best practices in electrical and process engineering. This position plays a key role in improving product reliability, reducing operational costs, and supporting sustainable manufacturing initiatives through strategic leadership and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the engineering department, including product, manufacturing, process, and project engineering teams.
• Develop and execute engineering strategies that enhance product quality, optimize manufacturing processes, and improve energy efficiency.
• Oversee electrical engineering and process control activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Partner with production, quality assurance, supply chain, and other departments to support seamless operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and aligned with scope.
• Drive energy management programs that reduce resource consumption and support sustainability goals.
• Mentor and develop engineering personnel, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and professional growth.
• Analyze engineering data and operational metrics to identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.
• Review, approve, and manage capital projects.
• Support productivity improvements and contribute to profit commitments based on mid-term business plans.
• Spend 70% or more of work time on the production floor (hot environment with required PPE).
• Work a flexible schedule as needed, including days, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field).
• 7+ years of engineering experience in durable goods manufacturing.
• At least 3 years in an engineering management or leadership role.
• Proven experience in engineering management, project engineering, and process control.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing engineering principles and energy management practices.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and oversee complex projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering Management or related field.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with advanced process control and automation technologies.
• Prior experience in durable goods manufacturing with a focus on sustainability.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
