About the job: Engineering Manager - Offshore
Our client is a world-class Energy EPC company seeking a competent Engineering Manager - Offshore to join their Offshore Portfolio Management Team on a permanent basis in Al Khobar, KSA.
Role Responsibilities:
- Ensure implementation and maintenance of procedures for document control and interface management across projects.
- Develop, update, and ensure application of the Interface Management procedure and Project Interface standard matrix.
- Organize and participate in project meetings.
- Provide engineering advice, assessments, and recommendations to ensure project delivery within time, budget, and quality standards, following industry best practices and ensuring HSE compliance.
- Advise on engineering strategies, risk assessments, and commercial agreements to identify cost-effective technical solutions and understand risk profiles.
- Document all assessments, advice, and recommendations according to internal procedures and industry standards, ensuring thorough technical and commercial due diligence.
- Lead project team members, including those in UAE and other regions.
- Deliver high-quality, cost-effective engineering advice.
- Ensure health, safety, and environmental requirements are integrated into design and project execution.
- Stay updated on technical and commercial developments, identifying new technologies to reduce costs and risks or enhance safety.
- Implement offshore standards, procedures, tools, and quality requirements to deliver projects per specifications, budget, and schedule without compromising safety.
- Capture and share lessons learned across offshore projects, collaborating with Lead/Principal Engineers to improve business value.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience with offshore platforms, compressors, machinery, and structures.
- Multidisciplinary engineering experience in international environments.
- Significant offshore industry experience, with Aramco experience preferred.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation related to offshore projects.
- Strong future planning skills.
- Proven track record in delivering large packages.
- Excellent relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to influence decision-making.
- Strong report writing and presentation skills.
- Ability to anticipate and mitigate potential problems.
- Experience in offshore/oil and gas fields.
- Knowledge of engineering standards, procedures, and guidance.
- Ability to work independently and within teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university.
- Experience managing offshore mega projects, including Brownfield and Greenfield from inception to completion.
