• Our products are used on production lines in food, pharmaceutical, FMCG, cosmetics, packaging, and industrial sectors. As MapleJet Middle East continues to expand, we are strengthening our operations team and looking for a highly capable, hands-on Engineering Operations Manager. 
• This is a key role for an engineer who can take ownership of production, supply chain, inventory control, procurement planning, outsourced manufacturing, contractor management, and daily operational execution. 
• This is not a desk-only management role. We need someone who can manage systems, people, suppliers, stock, production schedules, subcontractors, and operational problems directly. 

The Role

• The Engineering Operations Manager will be responsible for the full operational flow of MapleJet Middle East. 
• The role covers: 

1. In-house assembly
2. Outsourced production planning 
3. Supply chain coordination 
4. Supplier follow-up 
5. Inventory accuracy 
6. Purchasing control 
7. Production scheduling 
8. Warehouse coordination
9. Contractor management 
10. International inspection visits when required 

• MapleJet currently assembles part of its products in-house and is planning to outsource a larger part of production and assembly to qualified contractors. 
• The successful candidate must be able to manage both internal production and external outsourced manufacturing partners with strong discipline, technical understanding, and follow-up.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Production & Assembly Operations 

• Manage and coordinate daily in-house production and assembly activities. 
• Plan production schedules based on sales orders, stock levels, forecasts, and customer delivery commitments. 
• Ensure products are assembled, tested, packed, and released according to MapleJet quality standards. 
• Coordinate with technical, PMU, purchasing, warehouse, sales, and finance teams. 
• Identify bottlenecks in production and implement practical corrective actions. 
• Maintain proper records for assembly, testing, production output, and dispatch readiness. 

Outsourced Manufacturing & Contractor Management

• Manage outsourced production and assembly contractors. 
• Coordinate production plans with external contractors and ensure they meet required quality, timing, and cost expectations. 
• Travel internationally when required to visit, inspect, audit, and directly check contractor facilities.
• Evaluate contractor capability, production discipline, quality process, and delivery reliability. 
• Follow up on outsourced production progress and prevent delays before they become operational problems. 
• Ensure contractors follow MapleJet’s technical, quality, assembly, packaging, and documentation requirements. 
• Support the development of outsourcing processes, contractor reporting systems, inspection checklists, and quality control procedures. 

Supply Chain & Procurement

• Manage purchasing requirements based on production plans and inventory levels. 
• Coordinate with local and international suppliers to ensure timely delivery. 
• Follow up on purchase orders, shipping status, customs clearance, and delivery timelines.

Inventory Control 

• Take full ownership of inventory accuracy. 
• Implement and maintain proper stock control systems. 
• Monitor minimum stock levels, reorder points, slow-moving items, and critical components.
• Prevent overstocking, stock shortages, duplicate purchasing, and uncontrolled material usage. 
• Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile system records with physical inventory. 
• Maintain discipline in receiving, issuing, returning, and consuming production materials. 

Order & Operational Coordination

• Support customer order processing and delivery coordination. 
• Ensure printers, spare parts, inks, accessories, and outsourced items are prepared correctly for shipment. 
• Coordinate between sales, warehouse, production, contractors, logistics, and finance. 
• Improve internal workflow so customer commitments are met without last-minute firefighting. 

Process Improvement

• Develop practical SOPs for production, outsourcing, procurement, inventory, contractor management, dispatch, and quality control. 
• Improve operational discipline, reporting accuracy, and accountability. 
• Use data to identify operational weaknesses and propose corrective action. 
• Build a stronger operational system as MapleJet Middle East scales. 
• Create a culture of accuracy, speed, responsibility, and continuous improvement. 

Required Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree or BTech in Industrial Engineering is strongly preferred.
• Candidates with Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Engineering, or Supply Chain Engineering backgrounds may also be considered. 
• Minimum 5 years of experience in production operations, supply chain, inventory control, procurement, outsourced manufacturing, or contractor management. 
• Experience managing external contractors, subcontractors, OEM suppliers, assembly partners, or outsourced production facilities is required. 
• Experience in manufacturing, electronics assembly, industrial equipment, machinery, printing equipment, packaging equipment, or technical products is highly preferred. 
• Strong understanding of production flow, stock control, purchasing, supplier follow-up, outsourcing, and operational planning. 
• Ability and willingness to travel internationally to inspect suppliers, contractors, and outsourced production facilities. 
• Strong Excel and operational reporting skills. 
• Experience with ERP, inventory systems, Zoho, or similar software is an advantage.
