Engineering Professional

Role Overview :

Hamid Mukhtar & Co. Ltd. (HMCL) is inviting applications for Engineering Professional to join our Lahore Head office. This role offers an excellent opportunity for motivated candidates to work closely with leading insurers, and industrial clients in the areas of claims handling, insurance risk surveys, and loss assessments.

The ideal candidate should have strong analytical, communication and reporting skills. Candidates with the relevant academic qualification and up to 15 years of experience are welcome to apply.

The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, an analytical mindset, strong communication and report writing skills.

At HMCL, you will work alongside senior professionals engaged with leading insurers, banks, and industrial corporations across Pakistan and the Middle East. 

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct technical inspections and assessments of machinery, industrial assets, and commercial properties.
• Assist in evaluating damages arising from insured incidents such as machinery breakdown, fire, and natural catastrophes.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports outlining cause of loss, extent of damage, and estimated repair or replacement costs.
• Support senior loss adjusters in applying insurance policy terms to technical loss evaluations.
• Liaise with insurers, corporate clients, and other stakeholders to facilitate claim settlements.
• Ensure proper documentation, adherence to market standards, and compliance with internal quality protocols.
• Participate in structured training programs focused on insurance claims, engineering risk surveys, and international reporting standards.

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering. All Engineering Disciplines are encouraged to apply.
• A minimum of 3 years and up to 15 years of relevant professional experience is required.
• Strong technical knowledge of industrial systems, mechanical/electrical equipment, or building structures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in report writing.
• Analytical and investigative skills with attention to technical detail.
• Proactive attitude, self-discipline, and a willingness to learn specialized insurance industry practices.
• Willingness to pursue professional qualifications like ACII or ACILA
