Engineering Shift Leader / Engineering Duty Officer

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Engineering Shift Leader / Engineering Duty Officer to support the smooth operation and maintenance of all engineering systems within the hotel. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to handle daily maintenance operations efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily engineering operations during assigned shifts
• Ensure smooth functioning of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and hotel facilities
• Coordinate with all departments to ensure uninterrupted hotel operations
• Maintain maintenance logs, reports, and service records
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and preventive maintenance schedules
• Lead, guide, and monitor technical staff during shifts

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant field
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in hotel engineering or facility management
• Strong technical knowledge of:
• HVAC systems
• Electrical systems
• Plumbing systems
• General building maintenance
• Good leadership, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Strong communication and coordination skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in the hotel or hospitality industry
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems and engineering SOPs
