Engineering Techician III

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Months/Years of Experience: Five (5) years of applicable experience supporting engineering or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization: or two (2) years of applicable college/vocational/military//technical school and three (3) years of applicable experience in the assigned specialty area: Instrumentation – Experience must include successful completion of sixteen (16) weeks of civilian or military training in electronics or basic instrumentation techniques and a minimum of 2 years of experience in electronics/instrumentation supporting engineering or testing of military hardware.

Required Qualifications: Must be a U.S. Citizen and have or be able to obtain a DoD security clearance. Position will require laboratory bench work. Ability to understand basic engineering terminology and communicate effectively with others. Ability to use bench level electronics laboratory equipment. Must be able to follow specific instructions and perform well toward accomplishing tasks while adhering to required safety and security requirements. Must be able to work as a team member in a collaborative effort, taking initiative at times when direction is implicit. The candidate must be willing to support overtime on an occasional basis.

Duties: Responsible for supporting a variety of tasks using established methods and procedures. Tasking will also include duties, assisting with equipment inventories, supporting equipment calibration requirements and other general support duties as required.
