ENGINEERING/GIS DEPARTMENT SUMMER INTERNSHIP

Greenwood Commissioners of Public Works is seeking an Engineering student for a summer internship (paid) to support the utilities Engineering Department. Intern will be responsible for assisting with engineering related duties, such as GIS/GPS, construction administration support, design services support, field visits, administrative work, etc.

Greenwood CPW provides Water, Electric, and Natural Gas services to the residents in and around Greenwood, SC. Intern will have the opportunity to gain exposure to these three operational departments, including field visits to the Water Treatment Facility and construction sites. Intern will also have the opportunity to attend training seminars as they become available.

Current enrollment in an accredited Engineering program is preferred. Intern must manage their own transportation to and from office. Office hours are from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, and 7:30-11:30 Friday.
