Engineer/Senior Engineer, Electromagnetics Group
Antennas For Communications (AFC) is seeking applications for one full-time Engineer/Senior Engineer position in Electromagnetics Group at their facility in Ocala, Florida.
Requirements:
Applicant shall have a Graduate Degree in the field of RF/Microwave/Antenna Engineering. Ph.D in this field is desirable, but not required. He/she should be a United States Citizen and should be willing to live in Ocala, Florida.

Job Responsibilities:
This person will work closely with the President of the company and existing the Electromagnetics Group. He/she will work closely with other engineers and each department manager to design and validate products to meet customer’s required safety, performance, and reliability standards. He/she should be self-motivated, computer literate, and be able to use 2D/3D EM analysis tools as well as be able to create their own computer programs. She/he must be a skilled writer and must be able to use computer word processing tools.
The applicant will help with performing RF measurements and prepare technical reports and Tech. Memos to support on-going and prospective customer projects. He/she will work with the engineering and marketing departments and participate in preparing technical proposals and in other assignments throughout the company. AFC believes in strong in-house design and development activities that support continuous product improvement and new technologies.
The candidate is expected to have an active participation in such activities. The applicant will also participate in design review meetings and factory acceptance testing when necessary to present their related work.
Technical Expertise/ Challenges:
a. Wave propagation and attenuation effects in multi-layered media
b. Scattering theory and S-parameter measurements
c. Familiarity with MoM and FDTD Techniques
d. Scattering effects of metal/dielectric objects
e. Realization of impedance tuning configurations for minimal forward scattering
f. Microwave antenna/component testing, waveguides, experience in using microwave VNAs and microwave measurement automation
g. Near field Array effects and beam steering techniques with amplitude/phase tapering
h. Dielectric material properties and testing techniques of composite materials
i. Familiarity with Matlab/Mathematica as well as ability to develop programming code automation
