- Target Student Population: Primarily elementary and middle school students (ages 5–12), with a small group of older youth (ages 12–16), including students who learn differently and those with special education needs.
- Our Core Focus: Addressing learning gaps, reinforcing current grade-level skills, and giving students a confident head start for the upcoming school year.
Key Responsibilities
As a Lead Tutor, you will bring your classroom expertise to a dynamic, supportive setting:
- Differentiated Instruction: Develop and deliver customized, evidence-based lesson plans in English and Math adapted for students across elementary, middle, and early high school levels.
- Inclusive Teaching: Implement inclusive teaching practices and multi-sensory strategies tailored to individual learning styles and special education needs.
- EdTech Integration: Utilize interactive learning technology and digital resources to boost student engagement and enhance understanding.
- Progress Tracking: Conduct regular formative assessments to monitor growth, adapt teaching strategies, and maintain accurate records of attendance and progress reports.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven Experience: Demonstrated background in teaching or tutoring, with a strong understanding of child and adolescent development across diverse age ranges (ages 5–16).
- Curriculum Adaptation: Strong expertise in adapting Math and English Language Arts (ELA) curriculum to bridge foundational educational gaps.
- Inclusive Educator: Solid knowledge of special education best practices and a passion for supporting students who learn differently.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency with educational software, digital tools, and data platforms for interactive instruction and lesson planning.
