English As A Second Language Teacher

We are looking for American English teachers for our online learning center that services students in South Korea and The United Arab Emirates. We require a pleasant, happy and funny teacher that can also bring a solid resume to the table. Teachers need to be outgoing, energetic, conversational and have a background in English, teaching, and ESL. Teacher must be US citizens to qualify.

Qualifications

• Teaching certification or degree in English, literature or education
• Online, in school, tutoring or homeschooling experience (3 year minimum)
• Experience working with Arabic or Asian students and culture preferred
• Online experience preferred

Hourly rates range from $18 up to $23/hour based on the hour of hours you work (more hours = higher hourly rate) and there are also bonuses in addition to the hourly rate. We hire teachers in small cohorts-- we fill your schedule so the work is worth it. There are also paid training and report writing hours that make the job more well rounded. This is a remote job that offers stability and consistency in hours, students and work load. You can expect to hold a consistent and full student roster. We are a boutique style online learning center that believes in the traditional values of rapport building and tutoring the same set of students over the long term-- we believe that teachers should teach and we want to empower you to make real connections with students long term. We are a family company, so teachers that come onboard with us now will have good chances at renewal.

Students stay an average of eighteen months with the program and 95% of students stay with their original teacher if possible. You will be with the same roster of students, and it can take 3-4 weeks to fill up your schedule depending on each teacher's conversion rate (students want to join teachers that they connect with) but most teachers fill up faster. We have so many trials, teachers ask us to wait while they catch up! Many of our teachers have been with us for two, three or even four years because we aim to create a delightful working environment with truly meaningful work.

This is a part time position that requires at least 15 hours of teaching each week and a one year contract. The 15 hours is flexible in the cases of vacation or leave but all teachers must have availability to work 15 hours per week between the hours of 4 am Eastern - 2 pm Eastern, with required peak time hours of either 4 am - 8 am or 9 am - 1 pm. We pay an hourly rate that ranges from $18 up to $23.00 per hour based on the total number of monthly hours.
