Global University is seeking a talented and detail-oriented
English Editor
to join our team. In this role, you will help ensure the clarity, quality, and consistency of academic materials used to equip students around the world. You’ll collaborate closely with faculty and academic leaders while contributing to meaningful, mission-driven work.
Please note:
This is a full-time, on-site position in Springfield, Missouri. Remote work is not available.
What You'll Do:

Edit and revise course materials for grammar, punctuation, spelling, clarity, and style consistency

Serve as the primary editor and liaison between course writers and academic deans

Review manuscripts for readability, tone, accuracy, and cross-referencing
-
Collaborate with leadership to support the development and maintenance of digital curriculum (online and e-formats)

Manage multiple editing projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines

Stay current with industry best practices in editing and publishing
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Bible, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Proven experience in editing and proofreading (academic or publishing experience preferred)

Exceptional command of the English language and strong writing skills

High attention to detail and commitment to quality

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively

Familiarity with Christian theological concepts and terminology (preferred)

Experience with tools such as Microsoft 365, Adobe Creative Cloud, and SharePoint
