Position: Head of English Department (HOD)

Curriculum: CBSE & Cambridge (CIE)

Role Overview:

Epistemo Vikas Leadership School is seeking an experienced and visionary Head of English Department to lead and strengthen the English faculty across various grade levels. The ideal candidate will drive academic excellence, mentor teachers, and promote a strong language and literary culture within the school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, supervise, and support the English Department across CBSE and Cambridge curricula.
• Develop and enhance curriculum plans, assessments, and teaching strategies.
• Conduct teacher training, classroom observations, and performance evaluations.
• Initiate and coordinate language development programs, literary events, debates, and clubs.
• Monitor student progress and implement improvement strategies where needed.
• Collaborate with academic leadership for planning timetables, resources, and academic events.
• Ensure teaching practices align with the school’s vision and academic standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Master’s Degree in English / Literature / Education (B.Ed or M.Ed preferred).
• 7–10 years of teaching experience with at least 2–3 years in a leadership or coordinator role.
• Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in CBSE and/or Cambridge curriculum preferred.
• Passion for literature, language development, and innovative teaching practices.
