Job Description

Lead and manage the English departments, ensuring high-quality instruction, curriculum development, and academic standards. Coordinate teachers, monitor student performance, and implement teaching strategies. Serve as liaison between school management and faculty. Drive improvement in learning outcomes and maintain departmental discipline and organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise department teaching staff and performance standards.
  • Develop and update English curricula regularly.
  • Monitor student progress and implement improvement plans.
  • Organize and lead departmental meetings with teaching team.
  • Coordinate exam schedules and oversee assessment procedures.
  • Mentor teachers and support their professional development.
  • Ensure adherence to school policies and academic regulations.
  • Liaise with school leadership for departmental resource allocation.

Skill & Experience

  • Strong leadership and team-management capabilities always.
  • Excellent command over English subject knowledge.
  • Effective communication skills with faculty and management.
  • Ability to plan curriculum and assessments strategically and thoroughly.
  • Good organisational skills managing multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Problem-solving attitude to address academic or administrative issues.
